Hello, My Name Is Oscar!

I was born under a junk pile in the middle of the woods when I was two weeks old. My estimated birth date is September 17, 2025. I have had a rough beginning at life. I am a male and will be neutered and brought up to date on all vaccinations when I am the appropriate age. I am assumed to be Pit/Husky mix, but my new caretakers have sent out a DNA test to see exactly which breeds I am. At 2 weeks old I weighed 2.59 pounds. I will most likely be a medium to large size dog.My litter's DNA and Genetic Health Testing Results are in. Voiceless Moments holds prize winning contests that allow people to guess our different breeds. The contest has not been held for our results yet. Follow us on Facebook, our contest is the week of October 27th. (www.facebook.com/voicelessmoments). Once our contest is over, we will announce it in the bio section of each of the pups.

My Story

My name is Oscar, and my life began under the most unexpected circumstances—tucked beneath a neglected pile of trash, hidden deep within the quiet shelter of the woods. My earliest memories are of clinging tightly to my brothers and sisters, our tiny bodies huddled together for warmth, comfort, and reassurance in the unfamiliar dark. Those first two weeks were not just a fight for survival; they were a powerful lesson in resilience and the strength of our bond as a family. When rescuers from this organization discovered us, it truly felt like a turning point—gentle hands reached into our world of uncertainty and brought us into the light of hope, safety, and compassion. The kindness that rescued us is something I will carry in my heart forever.

I’ve learned that I was born around September 17, 2025—a date that holds more meaning for me than just marking my age. It represents the beginning of a journey filled with challenges, miracles, and the generosity of strangers who became my heroes. Since that day, my siblings and I have been embraced by a foster family whose love and patience have slowly mended the fears of our early days. Every warm bed, every gentle cuddle, and every word of encouragement feels precious, especially when I remember how uncertain things once were. My gratitude for the safety and affection I’ve found is deeper than words can express.

Now, at only six weeks old and weighing about 6 pounds, I find myself becoming bolder and more curious each day. My chubby belly and large, floppy paws are not just adorable—they are small promises of the strong, joyful dog I am growing into. For at least my first year, I’ll need nourishing puppy food to help me develop, play, and discover new things with boundless energy. I’ve already had my very first puppy vaccination and flea prevention—simple yet vital milestones toward a healthy future. The care and attention I receive every day give me confidence to explore and learn about the world, and I am endlessly grateful for this chance to grow safely.

I’m a naturally inquisitive little pup with a gentle heart, and my blend of Pit, Husky, and Cattle Dog makes me truly unique. My fur is a soft patchwork of colors and textures, a living reminder of my roots, while my alert, expressive ears catch every new sound and signal my curiosity about the world. There could be even more surprises in my genes, and if you want to know more, the rescue can reveal my full story. I am expected to grow into a medium to large dog—full of adventure, loyalty, and love. For those who enjoy a bit of mystery, my family’s DNA reveal is available on the organization’s Facebook page. Every part of who I am tells a tale, and I look forward to sharing my story with the family who will call me their own.

Just a short time ago, I experienced my first intake exam—a milestone that felt like a quiet triumph after my difficult start. Gentle hands examined me from head to tail, their kindness soothing my worries as they listened to my heartbeat and peered into my hopeful eyes. I received medicine to keep me healthy and strong, and the results brought joyful relief: no cleft palate, no hernia, and an overall clean bill of health. For a puppy whose very first home was beneath a trash heap, being declared healthy feels like a true blessing—a fresh start filled with hope and heartfelt gratitude.

At this moment, my eyes—and the eyes of most of my siblings—are a brilliant shade of blue, sparkling with wonder and curiosity as we take in the world around us. I’ve heard that as I grow, my eye color might shift, revealing its true shade between weeks 9 and 16. For now, though, they glisten like little sapphires, filled with hope and the promise of new adventures. With every new experience, I find more reasons to trust in kindness and the beauty of starting over.

I’m overflowing with the joyful, boundless energy that only a puppy can have, and thanks to my special mix of breeds, I crave playtime and adventure—chasing after toys, wrestling with my siblings, and exploring every corner of my foster home. I cherish every cuddle and gentle embrace, savoring a sense of safety and love I never knew was possible. My early days were not always so gentle; my mother stopped producing milk when I was just three weeks old, and saying goodbye to her so soon was a heartbreak I still carry. Now, I am proud and deeply grateful to be thriving on solid food and water. Each morning fills my heart with hope for the future, and I treasure every precious moment I am given.

I’ll be ready to start my new life with a forever family after November 12th, when I turn 8 weeks old—a day I think about with so much hope and excitement. I’m not quite big enough for my spay surgery yet, but my rescue will make sure my new family has help finding a caring veterinary clinic if they need it. After I go home, I’ll still need two more rounds of vaccines to keep me strong and healthy. My adoption fee is $175, but when my family completes my vaccinations and spay, they’ll receive $75 back—a heartfelt thank you for giving me a loving home. All the important paperwork will go with me, so the veterinarian can mark every important step in my new journey. I imagine the day I’ll finally meet the family meant for me—I’ll be waiting, tail wagging and heart wide open.
